CCA’s philosophy of education is based on a Christ-centered view that all truth is God’s truth, and that the Bible is the inspired and the only infallible, authoritative Word of God that contains this truth. God created all things and sustains all things. Therefore, the universe and man are dynamically related to God and have the purpose of glorifying Him. Because man is a sinner by nature and choice, he cannot glorify or know God. He can do this only by choosing God’s free gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ, thereby committing his life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
We believe that it is a God-given privilege for parents and teachers to be able to “train up a child in the way he should go,” to instruct him in righteousness, and to provide an education that will include and reflect the important Christian principles we believe and hold in common with others of like faith.
We desire for the Word of God to permeate all areas of our curriculum, and not just be a separate subject taught on a purely intellectual basis. This philosophy is designed to develop the individual student spiritually, intellectually, mentally, socially, and physically. We believe that each student, being created in the image of God, is of supreme worth and unique in gifts, calling, and abilities. We believe the dignity and worth of each individual should be respected. We understand that students vary in their inherent and acquired capabilities and that those differences must be considered.
This philosophy affects the curriculum, the methods of teaching, the teacher, disciplinary procedures, and personal interrelationships of all persons involved with the school, thus setting the atmosphere for the entire school environment.
Our goal is to develop in our students a worldview, a perspective that enables them to understand, appreciate, and live a Christian life in the world in which God has placed them. The education they receive shall help each student to develop the ability to separate truth from error, not only in Bible doctrine, but also in the facts and issues of their everyday life.
